英文法 冠詞(articles)について 解説動画

ご購読者のかたから、ストーリー内の冠詞(articles)の用法に関するご質問を頂きました。

No, not at all… It was just that in the my freshman or sophomore year the astronomy was catching on due to the NASA’s Apollo program, and I was just fascinated by an astrophysics. I watched the many Discovery Channel programs covering planets, meteors, the solar system, galaxies, Spatial expansion of the universe, cosmic development, etc. I was attending my a renowned university, and they there were many prominent professors at the this university. Actually, one professor was presiding over the National Space Engineering Council and some other professors were serving as its panelists in those conferences.
In my junior and senior years, I also took biochemistry for my secondary area of concentration, and studied things like hormones secreted by organs, blood circulation, nutrition studies, etc. I liked the genetics, so I’m familiar with things like genetically modified crops or the disorders caused by gene mutations. All in all, during the this time, I was the a fanatical science student and I did nothing but study the subjects that I was interested in.

質問は みな紫の部分です。
① まずSpatial expansion of the universe
これには spatialの部分になぜ冠詞がつきませんか？後ろにofがあると、すぐ限定されているように思いtheをつけたくなってしまいます。 また、なぜ 大文字のSになっているのでしょうか？
このthe は、by～以下による 限定のtheとみなしてよいでしょうか？
③ the subjects that I was interested in
このtheも、 that～以下によって限定されたtheと理解していいでしょうか？
②、③の理解からすると、①になぜtheが使いないのか、わからないのです。
ofが後ろにあると、当然のように前の名詞を限定するものだとかんがえてしまうのですが、例外があるのでしょうか？
Of に関して、前後の関係が 所有とか、 主語/目的語の関係とかその他にもいろいろあるようですが、その影響も受けますか？
ずーっと引っかかっています。
